Enphase Energy is an American energy technology company founded in 2006 and headquartered in Fremont, California, and it pioneered the microinverter — one small inverter per panel instead of a single central unit. The IQ8 family is its eighth generation: a semiconductor-based, grid-forming design that keeps producing during a blackout when paired with an Enphase IQ System Controller. The European IQ8MC, IQ8AC and IQ8HC units each deliver 325 to 380 W of AC output from a single 54- to 72-cell module across a 25-45 V MPPT window, while the three-phase IQ8P-3P reaches 475 W for small commercial roofs. Every unit carries a warranty of up to 25 years, communicates over powerline to an IQ Gateway, and is certified to EN 50549-1 and IEC 62109.
Enphase specializes in module-level microinverters, the IQ8 grid-forming platform and the IQ Gateway monitoring ecosystem for residential and small commercial rooftops.
