KACO new energy is a German inverter manufacturer headquartered in Neckarsulm, Baden-Württemberg, whose solar business dates to 1999 and whose industrial roots reach back to the KACO group founded in 1914. The company brought the world's first transformerless PV inverter to market in 2000 and has shipped more than 900,000 units since; it has belonged to Siemens Energy since 2019. The blueplanet NX3 line covers three-phase residential and commercial plants, from the blueplanet 3.0-5.0 NX3 M2 with its wide 150–1000 V operating window to the blueplanet 8.0-20.0 NX3 M2 with two independent MPP trackers and up to 30 kW of recommended PV input. Every NX3 M2 model ships with an integrated DC switch, Type II DC and Type III AC surge protection, reverse-polarity protection and an IP65 enclosure. KACO inverters are engineered for European grid codes and certified to VDE 4105, C10/11 and G98.
