LVTOPSUN is first of all a battery company. Guangdong LVTOPSUN New Energy Co., Ltd. was founded in 2016 and builds lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) storage systems at a 24,000 m² factory in Dongguan, China, from wall-mounted home batteries to commercial systems of several hundred kilowatt-hours. It reports customers in more than 50 countries and says its batteries work with over 25 inverter brands. Much of its trade runs through online marketplaces, and English documentation on its inverters is limited.
The inverters complement the batteries. The LVTS-HYD series covers 3 to 6 kW of single-phase off-grid and backup power, combining inverter, battery charger and one solar input in a single unit. The number in the name is the AC power: an LVTS-5KW-HYD delivers 5 kW.
Packaged storage: buyers can get the battery and a matching inverter from the same factory. The trade-off is a small inverter line with modest solar input, suited to a single string of panels.
Each model has a single tracker, so all panels go on one string. The 3 and 4 kW units accept 500 V and track from 90 to 450 V: with 50 V panels, eight is the limit once cold-morning voltage rise is included. The 5 and 6 kW units allow 550 V with a window up to 500 V, which makes room for a ninth panel in most climates.
