SANDISOLAR, registered as Shenzhen Sandisolar New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., says it was founded in 2008 and makes solar panels, inverters, batteries, storage systems and EV chargers, sold as complete solar-plus-storage packages. Its strongest presence is in Southeast Asia, and it reports close to 30,000 m² of its own overseas warehouse space as it expands into other regions. It is a different company from Zhejiang Sandi Electric, a similarly named inverter maker. Independent information on the brand is limited.
The models listed here are all built around a battery. The SD-PLUS (4.2 kW) and SD-HYM (11 kW) are off-grid inverter-chargers for 24 V and 48 V battery banks, while the SD-PRO-EU hybrids at 6.5 and 12 kW carry the EU suffix for European homes. Each is designed to keep a house or workshop running from solar and a battery.
PV voltage limits are typical of off-grid equipment: 450 V on the SD-PLUS, 500 V on the SD-HYM and SD-PRO-EU 12K, and 550 V on the SD-PRO-EU 6.5K. Because a string’s open-circuit voltage rises on a cold morning, a 450 V input takes about eight large panels in series. On the SD-PRO-EU 12K, also keep the string’s working voltage below the 450 V top of its tracking window.
The single-tracker SD-PLUS and SD-PRO-EU 6.5K suit one roof face; the two-tracker models can handle two orientations. Current limits range from 18 A per tracker on the SD-PLUS and SD-HYM to 30 A on the SD-PRO-EU 12K.
