The model listed here is the 12 kW split-phase all-in-one for 48 V batteries, designed for North American 120/240 V homes, with a 200 A grid bypass and two solar inputs. It is typically sold as a bundle with WattCycle battery packs for whole-home backup.

What WattCycle is known for

Battery-and-inverter bundles at the DIY end of the market. The inverter is a heavy (about 36 kg) fan-cooled unit rated around 60 dB, so it belongs in a garage or utility room rather than a living space.

Choosing panels for a WattCycle inverter

Each of the two inputs accepts up to 500 V and 32 A, tracking between 90 and 450 V, and the unit takes up to 24 kW of panels in total. The generous current means two parallel strings of standard panels fit on one input. Voltage is the tighter limit: ten 41 V panels in series reach about 450 V on a −10 °C morning, and an eleventh would leave almost no margin under 500 V.
