Schüco International KG is a German building-envelope company founded in 1951 and headquartered in Bielefeld, best known for aluminium window, door and façade systems. Between the mid-2000s and the early 2010s it also sold crystalline photovoltaic modules alongside its own PV-Light mounting system and solar thermal collectors, aimed at roofs and façades in the German market. The SMT-1 series from 2007 uses 72 monocrystalline 125 mm cells in an anodised aluminium frame, covering 160 to 175 W at a 1000 V system voltage with a +5/-0 % power tolerance. Schüco has since left the module business, so these panels are now found on existing installations, where the original datasheet is what a replacement inverter has to be matched against.
Schüco is a German façade and window systems maker whose former photovoltaic range included the monocrystalline SMT-1 modules of 2007.
