Solarwatt has been making solar modules in Dresden since 1993, which makes it one of Germany's longest-standing manufacturers, and it employs around 600 people. What sets its panels apart is the glass-glass build: the cells sit sealed between two sheets of glass instead of glass on the front and a plastic film on the back, so moisture cannot reach them from either side and the cells are far better supported against flexing. That construction is why the company can offer 30 years of product warranty alongside 30 years of performance warranty, still guaranteeing 90 % of rated output at the end of that term. The current range is the Panel vision line: M 5.0 with 108 bifacial TOPCon cells at 445-455 Wp, and the newer M 5.5, which fits 96 larger cells into the same frame and reaches 460-470 Wp. Each generation comes in three looks — black with an opaque backing, plus pure and style, which are bifacial and pick up extra yield from light reflected off the roof. Solarwatt also publishes a certified carbon footprint roughly 50 % below a conventional module, and sells battery storage and energy managers alongside the panels.
